Do I need previous experience or a CV to submit?
Nope! Our goal is to uplift new and up-and-coming artists. Gallery Dzialo values talent and potential. We think showcasing your work should be enjoyable and accessible no matter your age or experience level. Whether it's your first show or your fiftieth, we would love to have you!

What type of artwork does Gallery Dzialo accept?
Gallery Dzialo is currently accepting paintings, drawings, printmaking, photography, small sculpture, and more. Due to our small space, we cannot show any types of large sculpture or works that require advanced rigging. Unsure if your art will work in our space? Send us an email and we will get back to you as soon as we can!

What if I don't live in Portland?
Gallery Dzialo prioritizes submissions from artists living in the Portland metro area, but we also accept
submissions from any artist living anywhere in the state of Oregon. If you make the drive, we'll hang the work! We do not accept submissions from artists outside the state.

How long does a show last?
Artist exhibitions last about three months, including install and removal weeks.
We have four shows a year:
Spring (March, April, May)
Summer (June, July, August)
Fall (Sept, October, November)
Winter (December, January, February)

How many artists exhibit per show?
We currently accept between 2-4 artists per show, depending on artwork type and size.

What % of sales does Gallery Dzialo take?
Gallery Dzialo takes 20% commission on all gallery sales.

What if I don't get into the show I applied for? Can I submit again?
There is no limit on the number of times you can submit! Do to our very small size (were are a micro gallery), we can only accept so many artists per show. If you aren't accepted to the show you applied for, we encourage you to submit again! 

What if I want to sell in the gallery?
If you're an artist/maker that is interested in selling small gift items (prints, cards, stickers, jewelry, etc.) in our brick-and-mortar store, please email us a submission with your name, contact information, and link to/or images of the work you are interested in selling with us. We only offer the selling of full size artworks (paintings, sculpture, etc.) to our current exhibiting artists.
 
What if I want to sell in your online store?
We currently only offer the option to sell artwork in our online store to artists that have exhibited with Gallery Dzialo. If you're an artist/maker that is interested in selling gift items (prints, cards, stickers, jewelry, etc.) in our online store, please email us a submission with your name, contact information, and link to/or images of the work you are interested in selling with us. Please specify if you are applying to sell in store and online, or online only. Artists wishing to sell gift items online must be able to meet inventory qualifications to be considered. Gallery Dzialo takes 30% commission on artwork and gifts sold through our online store.
